Art Persists… Boredom… Influenza… A bad economy. Art persists everything. In fact it’s probably going to outlive the cockroaches!
Art Persists started as an idea and quickly grew. It grew out of need and frustration for some social atmosphere where money would not be an option. The need to be around artistic individuals, like myself, contributed to its uprising as well. Art Persists started as an art club where a few friends would get together and create art on a monthly basis. Our creative outlet was the bad economy and the fact that neither of us could afford art supplies.
The club and my personal life began to merge as I began to look at graduate programs in the arts. When financial aid, scholarships didn’t seem like enough, Art Persists felt like a way to fund my education.
